Tanuf Ruins

The old city of Tanuf was destroyed by a British bombing offensive in the 1950s during a rebellion against the British presence. What's left is still beautiful, and it can give an idea of an actual (not re-created) town from that era. The homes are built from local rocks and mud blocks made from straw and local clay. You can see the materials clearly as you walk through the site. Enjoy the pictures!
