Visit to Doha, Qatar

We have long looked forward to visiting friends who work in Doha, Qatar. This last week we were given a week off for the Muslim holiday Eid al Adha, which provided the perfect opportunity for a visit!

 

 

On our first day we went to the camel racing track and watched the jockeys exercising the camels. We struck up a conversation with one man, and he took us back to see where they keep the camels!

 

And we even got a chance to ride one!

 

 

This little girl was extremely docile. She just kept nuzzling us to pet her head. :)

 

  And then she put her nose directly on mine!!

 

 

 

 

On another day we spent some time at the Islamic Museum of Art and around downtown

We also enjoyed a fireworks show in celebration of Eid!

 

 

We definitely enjoyed our time in Doha and look forward to going again!
